State Street Writing, LLC is a partnership rooted in the Seattle
metro area’s thriving Eastside – where we proudly share our
congested freeways and crowded coffeehouses with such well-known corporate
neighbors as Microsoft, Nintendo and Costco.
Principals Doug Cooley and Liz Enbysk began their careers
in editorial journalism, working as reporters and editors on newspapers
and magazines. Both jumped eagerly to the world of online media in the
‘90s, where they were able to combine journalism with a keen interest
in business and technology as writers and producers of ZDNet AnchorDesk,
a pioneering e-mail newsletter and Web site.
State Street was born out of the region’s dotcom bust at the turn-of-the-century.
At the time many downsized companies needed to outsource their writing
and editing needs and turned to Cooley and Enbysk and their expanded team
of writers and artists. State Street continues to grow through referrals
and word-of-mouth, and today we offer clients a broad range of print and
online services – not to mention the occasional cup of dark roast
in a crowded coffeehouse.
